PokerStars All Star Week

I’ve already mentioned in this blog that players use the PokerStars bonus code because of the top notch customer support and unique promos. If you’re new to the various promotions, you should look into the PokerStars All Star Week, scheduled for July 26th to August 1st. The upcoming week will see heads-up matches between Team PokerStars Pro and a team of Challengers that must qualify via satellites. Have I piqued your interest enough to make you use those Internet slots another time? If the answer is no, read the rest of this article and see if it changes your mind.

By offering $25,000 to play for, PokerStars is demonstrating that they are one of the top Texas Holdem sites online. Every day during All Star Week, there will be five different heads-up matches. The individual matches have $1,000 up for grabs. At the end of it all, if Team PokerStars Pro has won more games, they will split the $25k prize pool. If the Challengers have won more matches, they will split the prize pool instead.

The site will be asking some of its elite players to take a break from Daniels Room poker to play on the team of Challengers. The team is selected via five freerolls, and each satellite awards five or six spots. If you want to play in one of these freerolls, you must have final tabled a major PokerStars tournament in 2009 or you have to be a Supernova Elite. For even more incentive to win a spot on the team, each freeroll winner will also be given a $1,050 WCOOP ticket. The WCOOP is likely to take place in September later this year. If you enjoy earning bonuses, take note that they will likely provide a new PokerStars bonus code to kick off the series.

If you don’t qualify for any of the freerolls, you can try an $11 Wildcard tournament. If you place in the top 3 of this event, you will become one of the Challengers and also get a WCOOP ticket.

Once you’ve qualified for the Challenger team, you then need to earn the chance to play one of the heads-up matches. Once you win a given tournament against your fellow Challengers, you will be eligible to meet a PokerStars Team Pro in the same game the week after. Each Challenger will also go up against each other for the MVP award for the week by accumulating as many points as possible. You get a point for playing in a qualification tournament, three points for coming in first place in a qualification tournament, and then five points for beating one of the Pros during All Star Week. If you are frequently found sitting at tables in casinos for US players, it should be easy to play as many tournaments as possible to collect a whack of points.

There will be at least one heads-up match for every type of poker, so All Star Week is targeted to all those that have used a PokerStars bonus code. Also keep in mind that if you didn’t qualify to play on the Challenger team this time around, you will have another chance next year. To ensure your spot in the freerolls, you should probably pass less time in Mac compatible casinos and more time entering large tournaments. Best of luck!
